Mailman documentation

Some Mailman documentation is available on these wiki pages and some is available on the Mailman website. In general though, this wiki will have the most up-to-date documentation as it's much easier to edit these pages than push out new web page documentation. Please read the above docs first though, and then check back here for more updated information.

Note that you can search the wiki documentation using the search box on the upper right. You may also want to search the Mailman-users archives to see if other people have had similar questions. If you can't find your answer here, you can post your question to the Mailman-users list.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Frequently Asked Questions are now available in the wiki. Please feel free to add any new questions/answers as you see fit!

List Members / Subscribers

The Mailman 2.1 Members Manual is intended for the subscribers of Mailman lists. It includes basic subscription/unsubscription information as well as more advanced features such as topics, vacation settings, etc.

There is also a section on help for mailing list members in the FAQ.

List Administrators

The Mailman 2.1 List Administrators Manual is intended for the owners of Mailman lists. This manual is NOT complete, but does explain many of the features available in the Mailman 2.1 list administration interface.

There is also a section on list administrator tasks in the FAQ.

Site Administrators

The Mailman 2.1 Site Administration Manual contains information useful to system administrators who maintain Mailman installations. This document is not yet complete.

The Installation requirements may also be useful for site administrators.

There is also a section on site administrator tasks in the FAQ, as well as sections on downloading and installing Mailman and integration issues, both of which may be helpful to site administrators installing and configuring Mailman.
