This information is included in the Mailman "tarball", in the file README.EXIM. However, additional/alternative information is maintained by Nigel Metherington (and other contributors to Exim) at exim.org.

Also, at least through Mailman 2.1.10, the installation manual is incomplete so see the www.exim.org documents instead.
