Have you changed the list to secure it via HTTPS/SSL/TLS, without completely following the instructions at [[../4.27 Securing Mailman's web GUI by using Secure HTTP-SSL|4.27 Securing Mailman's web GUI by using Secure HTTP-SSL]]?

Otherwise, you may be accessing the site via a redirect, which is tossing away the POST changes.
