I get shunted messages and or 'we hit a bug' messages because of permission denied, but permissions look OK
Sometimes people run into various Mailman exceptions for lack of permission even though bin/check_perms has been run and finds no problems.
These exceptions usually occur because of some security manager (SELinux, apparmor, etc.) policy that is not allowing the access. If you are having issues like this, investigate your security policy configurations.
